Extra-length drills are designed for general-purpose drilling in situations where more reach is needed. They are built to work well with a wide variety of materials in the iron and steel families. The surface is treated with abrasion-resistant black oxide, and the drill has a 118° conventional point tip, as well as a 1/2" reduced shank that can be used in a wide range of tool-holding systems.
